I had a fantastic stay in Madrid! The hotel is located in the heart of the city, making it convenient to explore the main attractions and shops. The cleanliness of the room was really good, and it was tidied up daily. The staff, although not fluent in English, were very friendly and helpful. the hotel is near a metro station, making transportation around the city easy.
Can't fault anything about it.

I recently stayed at Hostal La Selecta in Madrid and was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. The database was very helpful in providing accurate information about the hotel. The two features that stood out were the paper-thin walls and the shower with great water pressure. Despite the thin walls, I was lucky enough to have considerate neighbors, creating a peaceful and restful atmosphere during my stay. The powerful shower was a refreshing luxury, ensuring a rejuvenating start to my day.
On the slight downside, the shower design could use some improvement. While the water pressure was impressive, the use of a curtain instead of glass or acrylic made it easy to inadvertently wet the entire bathroom, causing some inconvenience.

The room was amazing! It had a private bathroom with a bathtub and free toiletries, which made me feel like I was at a spa. As someone who loves relaxing baths, this was a dream come true. The air conditioning kept the room cool, and the TV provided entertainment during downtime. The wooden floors and wardrobe added a cozy touch to the overall ambiance.
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the 24-hour front desk. I prefer a bit more privacy and independence during my stay.

The breakfast selection could have been improved with a wider variety of options.

Hosts Mariela and Carlos were super attentive and helpful - giving lots of local tips and making us feel at home. Staff was very nice and spoke English. Room was lovely with a comfy bed and free toiletries. Daily room cleaning and even tidied up belongings left on the bed.
Would recommend.
